Fundraising
Whether you are a school, an organisation or an individual there are many ways in which you can help to raise
the desperately required funds to keep these schools functioning. Money is required for the simple basics
such as food, new classrooms, desks, teaching equipment, teachers salaries.

Here are are some examples of how our donors have raised money:

One UK school organised a sleepover for
its pupils

Another school held a Valentine's Day
Fashion and Dance Show

The list is endless - if you have any ideas
you would like to share, please contact us!

Use your chosen sport - organise a charity
bike ride, a sponsored walk or swim.
Daisy raised £250 to buy a cow undertaking a
sponsored swim
Barbara is running the Rome Marathon in aid
of TPOACC
Kimberley organised a sponsored 10 mile
walk
Sharlene never thought she would run a
marathon!
If sport is not your thing - then how about a
sponsored hair shave - Thom, aged 9 raised
£500 last year doing just that.

- or be like Kim and tie yourself to your Mother
for 24hours and ask your friends to sponsor
you! Thoms head shave
Organise a tea party! One
volunteer raised over £1000 this
Christmas by serving her family
and friends with mince pies and
mulled wine! A Chamber of
Commerce organised a winter
tea party and raffle.
Don't send cards or
receive presents - ask
for donations to The
Pearl of Africa
Children's Choir instead!
Ron Crooks at St Helens has
produced a C.D. of his songs and
is donating all proceeds to
TPOACC.
